Our Story
Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in America, and the Tellico Village Pickleball Club (TVPBC) is fast-growing here, too. From a dozen or so players playing on a co-opted tennis court in 2007, the TVPBC ended 2023 with over 1,000 dues-paying members. We now have sixteen, tournament-sized, dedicated courts, twelve across from the Wellness Center and four more at Kahite. We also have portable nets at the Chota Rec Center. Pickleball is now one of the most popular activities here in Tellico Village. The Club invites new players to learn and to compete in the game. The Club strives to be active within Tellico Village and to reach out to our community. We have raised over $50,000 for charity in the past two years.
Our Facilities
Pickleball Courts
16 tournament-sized, dedicated courts with 4 covered, all-weather courts.
Social
The Club offers several social events during the year. We have mixers where players are invited to interact across levels. We also have tournament play for doubles, mixed doubles, and singles. Often our tournaments are followed by parties that include live/silent auctions, music, and a dinner meal.
Player Development
Player Development is enhanced by Skills and Drills lessons taught by volunteer instructors. The weekly schedule also provides inter-level playing periods. In addition, we have some private lessons as well as video lessons on this site. Two competitive tournaments and the Round Robins round out opportunities to compete.
